    Anthozoa

This series draws inspiration from the delicate yet enduring structures of anthozoa—marine invertebrates such as sea anemones and corals—and the broader language of coastal form. Comprising two cast glass pieces and one crystalline-glazed ceramic sculpture, Anthozoa explores the tension between fragility and resilience, permanence and change.

The use of glass and glaze captures the fluidity and translucence of underwater life, while echoing the geological textures found along Ireland’s shoreline. Exhibited at Sculpture in Context in 2022, this body of work reflects an ongoing interest in natural systems, material transformation, and the quiet complexity of oceanic environments.
